The National Investigative Agency (NIA) on Saturday arrested two people for sheltering terrorists involved in the firing incident that killed five people in Dhangri village in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri on 1 January this year.

As per NIA, the two accused had provided logistical support to the terrorists for more than two months and sheltered them in a hideout that they constructed on the orders of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiyaba (LeT) handlers.

The accused, Nisar Ahmed and Mushtaq Hussain, were arrested by the NIA on Thursday in the case, according to a statement by the agency.

They were produced before a NIA special court in Jammu on Friday and sent to days of NIA custody.
