Badshah's nightclub, Sago, has been embroiled in controversy for a long time. In early 2024, bombs exploded outside the club.

Badshah Night Club News: Bad news for renowned rapper and singer Badshah. On Tuesday, the Chandigarh administration sealed his renowned nightclub, "Sago by Badshah," located in Sector 26. This action was taken after the club violated building regulations. Let's find out what the matter is and why the administration had to take such strict action.
Why was Badshah's club sealed?
Chandigarh Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav stated that several constructions had been made at the club without obtaining permission from the administration. The investigation revealed several major flaws. Cabins, partitions, toilets, kitchens, and cold storage facilities were built arbitrarily in the basement, ground floor, and second floor. The club's open courtyards were covered with steel structures and fiber sheets. The building was actually constructed differently from the approved plan, including tin sheds and storage areas.
The administration had already warned
The administration didn't seal the club suddenly. According to officials, a "show cause notice" was sent to the club owners on April 25, 2024. They were given ample time and opportunity to correct their mistakes and comply with regulations. When, despite multiple warnings, the instructions were not followed, the administration was forced to seal the club under the Punjab Act and the Chandigarh Estate Rules.
At present the club has been peacefully sealed and secured so that no one can use it until further orders.
The name has also been linked to bomb blasts
The Sago Club has a long history of controversy. In early 2024, bomb blasts occurred outside Badshah's club. CCTV footage showed a man throwing a crude bomb and fleeing. In connection with the incident, Delhi Police arrested a man named Deepak from Faridkot, Punjab.Police claimed the accused was in constant contact with notorious gangster Goldy Brar. The club remained in the news even after this incident.
Sword hanging over other clubs too
Chandigarh's Sector 26 is a major nightlife hub, home to numerous clubs and restaurants. Following the sealing of Badshah's club, the administration is now focusing on other locations as well.
Estate Office teams are conducting regular inspections. The administration has made it clear that adherence to safety and building regulations is essential. Anyone found engaging in illegal construction or tampering with the building plan will face similar strict action.
