'Blood cancer will be cured by taking a bath in Haridwar...', 5 year old innocent child falls prey to superstition, mother accused of drowning him.

A surprising case came to light in Haridwar Kotwali area this afternoon. A family reached Har Ki Pauri with their 5 year old child. Where the child died and allegations of murder were made by drowning the child in the Ganges at Har Ki Paadi. There was an uproar regarding this. Police reached the spot on information and took the dead child to the district hospital. There the doctor declared the child dead.



A sensational case came to light in Haridwar Kotwali area on Wednesday afternoon. A family from Delhi reached Har Ki Pauri with their 5 year old child, where the child died. The people present there accused the mother of killing the child by drowning it in the Ganga at Har Ki Pauri. As soon as the information about the case was received, the police reached the spot and took the child to the district hospital. There, the doctor declared the child dead.


Police have sent the child's body for post-mortem. SP City Swatantra Kumar Singh says that the husband and wife had brought their son. He also had a relative with him. Prima facie it has come to light that the son was suffering from blood cancer. When asked, the child's parents told that they had taken their son to Sir Gangaram Hospital. The doctors had given him the answer.


The driver told what happened in the taxi


Driver Kuldeep Kumar told that he had reached Haridwar with his family in his taxi from Delhi at around nine in the morning. The driver says that when the family members were sitting in the car with the child, the child was looking ill. He was wrapped in a blanket. By Haridwar his health seemed to be worsening. According to him, the family members were talking in the taxi about the child's health worsening and about taking a bath in the Ganges and for medical treatment.


Dip the child in superstition... then drown it!


Police said that out of faith the family had brought the child here once to have darshan and take a bath in the Ganga. The driver told that the child was talking on the way. After this they reached Har Ki Pauri. Started bathing the child there. But, seeing his manner, the people present there felt something strange. Actually, the child's mother kept immersing the child in the Ganga river for a long time. After this there was an uproar.


The people present at Har Ki Pauri surrounded the husband and wife and accused them of killing the child by drowning them. After this he was also beaten up. Meanwhile someone had informed the police. The police team immediately reached the spot. Police took the child's body to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead.


Police will investigate the medical report


SP City Swatantra Kumar Singh said that it has come to light that the child is suffering from blood cancer. It is being told that the doctors had given him the answer. Therefore, the family brought the child here. He believed that by doing this the child would be cured. The people present there felt something strange after seeing the family members bathing the child. After this there was an uproar.


The woman also sat on the ghat carrying the child's dead body. Sometimes she was laughing, and sometimes she was shooing away the people present there. She was also claiming that her child would soon be alive and standing. But, this did not happen. At present, we are getting the report of Gangaram Hospital shown. Whatever the remaining situation will be informed.


If the issue of blood cancer is found to be true and the child is murdered because of it, then the police will take further action keeping that in mind. The police is investigating the case keeping all the aspects in mind.
