Bomb in Chandigarh Court...! Court evacuated after threatening e-mail, stampede ensues

Chandigarh (Kuldeep): There was a stampede in the Sector 43 District Court of Chandigarh when a bomb threat was received on the official email of the Sessions Judge. Upon receiving the information, the prosecution immediately alerted the security agencies and as a precaution, the entire court complex was evacuated. 

Bomb squad, police of Sector 36 police station, QRT team and other intelligence agencies reached the spot. Security teams thoroughly searched the entire court complex. No suspicious object or explosive was found during the investigation. 

After the investigation was completed, the officers termed it as a rumor. The administration and people present in the court complex breathed a sigh of relief as no threat was found. Currently, the police are investigating the case and the identity of the email sender.
