Delhi Red Fort Attack: The culprit of the Red Fort attack will be hanged soon!


New Delhi: Delhi Red Fort Attack: Big news has come to the fore regarding the culprit of the Red Fort located in the national capital Delhi. In fact, preparations are being made to hang Arif soon. Tihar Jail has also taken a big step regarding this. In the year 2000, the Delhi Prisons Department has written a letter to the court to issue a death warrant against Arif, who attacked the Red Fort. Important information has been shared by the jail authorities regarding this on Monday. According to officials, in November last year, the Supreme Court of the country, Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Mohd. The petition of Arif alias Ashfaq was rejected, in which he was demanded to review the court's decision to give him the death sentence.


Arif is currently lodged in Tihar Jail. In order to hang Arif, the jail authorities have written a letter to the Tis Hazari court asking for a death warrant to be issued soon.


How long will it take? According to the information received from the jail officials, at the beginning of this month, the court has been written to start the process of hanging. Tihar Jail officials have said that the matter has been listed for 27 February.

What will Arif do now? Arif has appealed to the court to review its decision to postpone his execution. However, till now no decision has come from the court regarding this appeal of Arif. On the other hand, if the court agrees to start the process according to the jail's letter, then soon Arif can be hanged under the process. However, Arif now has the option of appealing to the President to reduce his sentence.


What is the whole matter The matter is 22 years old. When the soldiers posted at the Red Fort of Delhi were attacked on December 22 by 6 terrorists of Pakistan's terrorist organization LeT i.e. Lashkar-e-Taiba. These terrorists fired indiscriminately on the barracks of the jawans. The terrorists also managed to escape from the spot as soon as they attacked.

The terrorists had entered the fort on the pretext of watching the light and sound show. At that time, Unit 7 of Rajputana Rifles of the Indian Army was stationed in the fort. Three army soldiers were martyred in the attack. Investigation revealed that all the terrorists had entered the Red Fort on the pretext of watching the light and sound show and managed to escape by jumping from the back wall. Mohammad Arif was the mastermind of this attack. He had transferred 29 lakh rupees to the terrorists' account. It was later arrested by the Delhi Police.

Death sentence given in 2005 Arif was sentenced to death by the lower court in 2005 and the same was upheld by the High Court in 2007. After this, the country's top court also upheld this sentence in 2011.
