Chandigarh News: The police have registered a case of murder against three people in the case of the death of a person under suspicious circumstances after falling from the flat on the sixth floor in Gulmohar City, located on the Haibatpur road of Derabassi, a nearby town. The police arrested two of the three accused and produced them in court from where they have been sent to two-day police remand. The accused have been identified as Puneet, Sanju and Rinku. All the three accused were in the flat with the deceased on the night of the incident where they drank alcohol together. Police Station Head Assistant Inspector Jaskanwal Singh said that 45-year-old Sharanjit Singh, a resident of Gulmohar City, used to sell mobile accessories outside the society. He had borrowed some rupees from Puneet, who worked in finance, which was not being returned from him while Puneet was pressurizing him to return the money. On the night of 26th, Puneet invited Sharanjit to his flat where Puneet was accompanied by his driver Sanju and another colleague Rinku. All the four drank alcohol till late night in the flat, after which Puneet had an argument with Sharanjit over payment. Meanwhile, after beating up Sharanjit, Puneet and his accomplices pushed him down from the balcony of the sixth floor flat and Sharanjit died due to the fall. After her death, they fled by throwing the body away from the balcony in a park so that it would not be known that he was in her flat. The mother and wife of the deceased told the police that Sharanjit had ordered roti for everyone from the house on the same night, which Puneet's driver Sanju had come to pick up. Police station chief Jaskanwal Singh said that the accused Punit and Sanju have been arrested while Rinku is still absconding, who is being searched for.
