Ludhiana, November 18: The information of a shootout between robbers and police has come to light in Moti Nagar area of Ludhiana. It is to be noted that earlier firing was done by the robber, after which Amrit Raj was injured during the retaliatory firing by the police. At present, after arresting the robber, the police have reached the Civil Hospital of Ludhiana to provide medical assistance to him, where the robber is undergoing treatment. After completion of the medical aid procedure, the robber will be produced before the Magistrate and his remand will be obtained.
According to information received, the police nominated Uday Raj Singh, son of BJP Kisan Morcha leader Sukhminder Pal Singh Grewal, in the case of ATM tampering and robbery and attempted petrol pump robbery that happened on November 6. After which the police arrested him from Chandigarh last night. The accused told the police that 6 people were involved in the case of ATM tampering and robbery, which was also proved from the CCTV images.
After today's operation, along with Uday Raj, his other accomplice Amrit Raj has also been arrested, while the search for the rest of the accused continues today. After a lot of trouble, the police team has managed to identify the unidentified persons in the CCTV footage. It is being told that when the police team went to arrest Uday, he tried to run away but the police arrested him and now his other accomplice opened fire on the police after which he was injured in the police cross firing. And is in the custody of the police. Cases of murder, fraud and robbery are already registered against the arrested accused.
