Celebrating a wedding anniversary in Kanpur cost a family their life. The woman lost her life after an argument with her sister, enraged to the point that she even threw away her child.

A family in Kanpur's Gujaini area celebrated a wedding anniversary and turned into mourning. A dispute on the anniversary night plunged the otherwise happy family into grief.

The case involved 20-year-old Roshni, a resident of Mardanpur, who died Sunday morning while undergoing treatment at Hallet Hospital. Family members say that during a dispute, Roshni threw her 14-month-old daughter down, and her husband, Noor Alam, caught her. Immediately afterward, she jumped from the second floor.

The family happily cut the cake

According to the family, on October 7th, Noor Alam, a tailor, and Roshni celebrated their three-year wedding anniversary. Roshni's elder sister, Ishrat, was also present. They cut a cake and ate dinner together.

The dispute with the sister went unnoticed

One night, Noor Alam and Ishrat had an argument over something, and Ishrat started leaving the house. Roshni tried to stop her, but she refused. According to family members, Roshni became angry and took this extreme step. She first threw the child from the roof and then jumped herself.

After the accident, the mother and daughter were rushed to the hospital. Doctors declared the girl out of danger. Roshni's condition was critical, so she was referred to Haldwani on October 9th, where she died two days later.

Police sent the body for postmortem

Upon receiving the information, the Gujaini police sent the body for post-mortem. According to the police, the family was initially reluctant, but agreed after being persuaded by station in-charge Rajan Sharma. He stated that no written complaint has been received yet; upon receipt of a complaint, an investigation will be conducted based on the facts and legal action will be taken.
