The police have achieved a major success in their ongoing campaign against drug trafficking. A team from the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) station in Ghazipur arrested a drug smuggler. 523 grams of heroin, worth approximately ₹1.5 crore (150,000 rupees) in the international market, was recovered from the accused.

Uttar Pradesh: Police in the capital Lucknow have achieved a major success in their ongoing campaign against drug trafficking. The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) team from Ghazipur police station arrested a drug smuggler. 523 grams of heroin, worth approximately ₹1.5 crore (15 million rupees) in the international market, was recovered from the accused.

According to the police, the ANTF team received information that a man was coming to the city to smuggle a large quantity of heroin. Based on this information, the police increased surveillance and began monitoring suspicious activities. Meanwhile, the police cordoned off the Ghazipur police station area and stopped and searched a suspicious individual.

During the search, 523 grams of heroin was recovered from the accused. The accused was unable to provide accurate answers during interrogation, leading to his arrest on the spot. Police say the seized heroin is estimated to be worth approximately ₹1.05 crore in the international market.

Police are now trying to determine where the accused obtained the heroin and to whom he supplied it. The ANTF and Ghazipur police are investigating the accused's network in this case. It is suspected that a large gang may be involved in this smuggling. Police are interrogating the accused and trying to gather information about other individuals involved.

Police are currently taking legal action against the accused. Officials say that drug trafficking will not be tolerated in the capital at any cost and the campaign against such illegal activities will continue.
