Ludhiana blast case: NIA announces Rs 10 lakh reward on Harpreet Singh alias Happy Malaysia's head


Ludhiana, September 6: Harpreet Singh alias Happy Malaysia, accused in the blast case in the court complex in Ludhiana, Punjab, has been declared WANTED by the NIA. NIA has published posters and advertisements for Happy Malaysia. NIA officials have mentioned several numbers and WhatsApp numbers in these posters.

It is written on the poster that the person giving information about the accused Harpreet Singh Happy Malaysia will be given a reward of Rs 10 lakh. At the same time, the name of the informer will also not be made public. The accused Harpreet Singh is a resident village Mendi Kalan, Ajnala, Amritsar.

An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was used in the bomb blast at Ludhiana district court at 12.25 pm. One person was killed while 6 others were injured in this blast. Teams of NSG, NIA and National Bomb Data Center from Delhi reached the spot to investigate the blast. 10 hours after the blast, at 10.15 pm, the NSG team removed the body lying in the rubble and kept it in the mortuary of the civil hospital.

The blast injured Sandeep Kaur (31 years) of Rajkot village in Ludhiana and Sharanjit Kaur (25 years) of Jamalpur were admitted to the civil hospital. Manish Kumar (32 years) resident of Police Colony was admitted to CMC Ludhiana. Kuldeep Singh (50 years) and Krishan Khanna (75 years) were treated at DMC Ludhiana. Apart from this, another person was also injured.

Due to the terrorist angle in this blast, the central investigation agency NIA and NSG became active. Officials of both the agencies reached Ludhiana from Chandigarh and New Delhi for investigation. Officials of both the agencies are investigating in collaboration with the forensic team of Punjab Police. During this investigation, it is being ascertained whether this blast is an act of foreign forces.
