Jaiganj Mandal Vice President of BJP's Mahila Morcha, Ruby Asif Khan, resident of ADA Colony, Shahjamal, Police Station Delhi Gate area, along with her husband Asif Khan, bought the idol of Ganesha from the market and installed it in their house. Ruby Asif Khan installs the idol of Ganesha in her house every year on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi and also immerses it as per the rituals. Apart from this, Ruby Asif Khan celebrates all the festivals of Muslims as well as every festival of Hindus. However, earlier she was also the target of fundamentalist Muslims for celebrating Hindu festivals.
'I want to end discrimination'
Ruby Asif Khan told, "I have installed the idol of Lord Ganesha. I did it in the same way last time, I have done it with great pomp even today and will continue to do it in the same way. I want everyone to come together and celebrate all the festivals." Celebrate. I want to end discrimination. Muslim-Hindu-Sikh-Christian, those who have discrimination in their mind, we all are one. I want to give an example of unity. I have been celebrating all the festivals with pomp and show in the same manner and will continue to celebrate. And I will keep giving this message to everyone."
Ruby has been celebrating Hindu festivals for 10 years
Ruby further said, "Well, I have been celebrating all the festivals of Hindu religion for the last 10 years. But, I have installed the idol of Lord Ganesha since last year, now it has been 2 years. They issue fatwas, I don't have any information from them. There is no fear. They had done it earlier too, had put up posters of me, to kill me by burning me alive, but I am not afraid of them and will not be afraid. I want to unite my India. I want to unite all the people. Hindu-Muslim. Discrimination has to be ended. No matter what anyone says about it, it doesn't matter to me. I will continue celebrating like this. Today I have performed the puja with full rituals."
