In the press conference, Punjab Police is giving information regarding Operation Amritpal. The police have said that Amritpal Singh is still absconding. IGP Punjab said that the head of 'Waris Punjab' Amritpal Singh is still absconding. The police are trying their best to nab him.

(1) IGP Sukhchain Singh Gill said that the Punjab Police is clearly saying that the arrest is still pending and efforts are on for his arrest.


(2) Punjab IGP Sukhchain Singh Gill said that the atmosphere in the state is calm and the situation is under control.

(3) The police said that special action was taken against some members of 'Waris Punjab', against whom six criminal cases have been registered. So far 114 elements have tried to disrupt peace and harmony. They have been arrested. Of these, 78 were arrested on the first day, 34 on the second day and two on the last night. Ten weapons have been recovered.

(4) The police said that from the facts and situation that have emerged so far, we suspect the ISI angle.

(5) The police have said that we seriously suspect that there may be foreign funding.

(6) Sukhchain Singh Gill said that looking at the situation, it seems that ISI has a hand in it and there is also foreign funding.


(7) The police said that bullet proof jackets and rifles were recovered and AKF was written on the gate of Amritpal Singh's house.

(8) IGP Punjab Sukhchain Singh Gill said that an attempt was made to form an organization called 'Anandpur Khalsa Fauj'.

(9) The police said that the four people taken into custody have been sent to Dibrugarh in Assam. They include Daljit Kalsi, Basant Singh, Gurmeet Singh Bhukhanwala and Bhagwant Singh.

(10) Sukhchain Singh Gill told that Amritpal Singh's uncle Harjit Singh is on his way to Dibrugarh. He is also being taken to Dibrugarh.
