Jharkhand News: In an effort to bring back to school the children who have not been coming to class for more than a month, the School Education and Literacy Department of Jharkhand has started a unique program called 'Prayas Whistle Blow, School Bulao'. A government school in Tangren of Potka block in East Singhbhum district, about 45 km from here, started the 'Whistle Blow, Increase Attendance 'campaign a few days ago under this government program and its good effect was also visible.


Principal in-charge of Tangren Updated Middle School, Arvind Tiwari, said that the 'whistle playing 'campaign recently started in the villages around the school has seen a good effect as the students who were absent for about a month started coming to school as soon as they heard the sound of the whistle. He said that considering the positive impact of this programme, the Education and Literacy Department has decided to start it in all the government schools of the state and he directed the concerned officials to start the program as soon as the children reach school in the morning on January 11. Tiwari, who has implemented these innovative ideas in the past to motivate students to come to classes, told PTI, “Our focus is on those students who have not come to classes continuously for about a month. “We have divided the students into different groups and based on their answers to questions like names of rivers/celebrities, we have selected group captains, “he said.

He said that a member of the school management committee, a teacher and the group captain put one zero in front of the student who does not come to class for a day or two, and two zeros in front of the student who remains absent for a month. And they put three zeros in front of those who do not come to school for more than a month.


He said, “Our main objective is to bring back the lasttwo categories of students and under the government's proposed program CT Bajao, we have started a campaign called 'CT Bajao, Increase Attendance ‘to invite students to achieve this goal. To do.''


The group captain along with other students goes to the villages in the morning and alerts the students to get ready for school. He said that the impact of this campaign is so much that even the students who were considered dropouts are getting motivated and have started coming to classes.
