17-Year-old Dalit Girl Abducted, Raped By Four Men In UP

Upon receiving a complaint from her mother, an FIR was registered against the four accused under the various sections of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita, POCSO Act, and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

A group of four men allegedly abducted a 17-year-old girl from Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia and took her to Mathura, and raped her.
According to police, the girl, who is a resident of the Sukhpura police station area, was allegedly abducted by the four men on March six. The accused have been identified as Ashok Yadav, Jitu Verma, Bihari Saini, and Arvind Sharma.
The police further said the girl somehow managed to flee from the crime scene and returned to her home on March 9.
Upon receiving a complaint from her mother, an FIR was registered against the four accused under the various sections of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita, POCSO Act, and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
The police said the three accused are natives of Sukhpura police station, and they have launched a probe into the matter.
