Srinagar: After nearly three decades in Kashmir, a cinema hall-multiplex has been opened on Tuesday. The Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha inaugurated this multiplex prepared by INOX. Even before this many attempts have been made to open cinema halls in Kashmir, but every time there has been failure. With which film did the inauguration happen? The first show at INOX's multiplex which started in Kashmir started with actor Aamir Khan's film 'Lal Singh Chaddha'. The Governor of Kashmir Manoj Sinha also watched the film sitting with the audience. This multiplex has a food court as well as three movie theaters. In this multiplex, about 520 spectators can watch the film simultaneously. Right now only three shows are running here from 9 am to 6 pm. Multiplex officials say that later the shows can be increased according to the demand.

Why is there a ruckus over the opening of the cinema hall? Many people expressed happiness over the opening of cinema halls in Kashmir after three decades, while many have expressed their objection. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has targeted the BJP government over the opening of the cinema hall. He said, 'Cinema halls are being opened in Kashmir, but why is Jama Masjid closed every Friday in Srinagar?' At the same time, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha says that cinema halls will be opened in other districts of Kashmir soon. After Srinagar, cinema halls can soon be opened in Anantnag, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Doda, Rajouri, Poonch and Kishtwar.
