Delhi: Huge fire breaks out in famous biryani restaurant, 6 people burnt, fire department sends 6 vehicles to the spot

A sudden fire broke out in the famous Bikkgane Biryani restaurant in Connaught Place, Delhi. The fire broke out at 11.55 am. As soon as the information was received, 6 fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. The fire has not been controlled yet. 


A case of a massive fire has come to light on Thursday at Bikkgane Biryani restaurant in Connaught Place, Delhi. Six people were badly burnt in this fire. Delhi Fire Services (DFS) informed that the fire broke out at 11.55 am on Thursday. As soon as the information was received, six fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. However, the fire has not been controlled yet. They said that the fire in the restaurant broke out due to leakage in the LPG cylinder kept in the kitchen. The injured have been admitted to RML Hospital for treatment.


25-year-old Mahindra has suffered the most burn injuries of 81 per cent in the accident. 39-year-old Deepak and 31-year-old Piyush have suffered 70 per cent burns, while 21-year-old MD Alarm has suffered 30 per cent burns, 28-year-old Sairuddin has suffered 20 per cent burns. 26-year-old Janak has suffered 4 per cent burns. Out of the 6 injured, 3 are in a very critical condition. All are being treated at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. Delhi Police is investigating the accident due to the possibility of negligence. SI Jaipal Singh has been given the responsibility of the case.
