Haider Ali sentenced to death and Rihan to life imprisonment in Nidhi murder case of Roorkee, murder was done due to one sided love

In the Nidhi murder case of Roorkee, the court has sentenced Haider Ali to death and Rihan to life imprisonment, holding him guilty. In 2021, Haider, madly in love with Nidhi, murdered her by slitting her throat.

Nidhi Murder Case: The family has got justice after 4 years in the famous Nidhi murder case of Roorkee. Nidhi was murdered on 24 April 2021. The Haridwar court, while giving its verdict, has convicted the main accused of the murder, Haider Ali, and sentenced him to death, while co-accused Rehan has been sentenced to life imprisonment. Apart from this, a fine of Rs 50,000 each has also been imposed on both of them.

The Nidhi murder case shook the whole of Uttarakhand in 2021. Haider, Rihan and another were accused of killing Nidhi. Haider killed Nidhi because she rejected his love proposal. After this, a Dalit girl Nidhi was murdered by slitting her throat in broad daylight due to one-sided love.

'Waiting to be hanged'

After waiting for 4 years, the court's decision has brought some relief to the victim's family, but Nidhi's mother says that she will get real peace only when she sees Haider Ali hanged. Considering the financial condition of the family, lawyer Sanjeev Verma had pleaded free of cost. Nidhi's mother has also expressed her gratitude to Sanjeev Verma. One of the accused in this case is a minor. His case is going on in the juvenile court.

Nidhi's brother told that his sister was murdered on 24 April 2021 by forcibly entering the house. Haider Ali, a resident of Safarpur village, used to harass Nidhi and pressurize her to marry him. On the afternoon of 24 April, Haider came to Nidhi's house with his two friends, at that time Nidhi was alone in the house. The accused killed Nidhi by slitting her throat with a knife. Nidhi's brother told that his sister showed bravery and locked one of the accused in the room.
