The police fired at Chandan in self-defense, which hit his leg. Chandan Verma had shot dead government teacher Sunil Kumar, his wife Poonam and two innocent daughters on October 3.

When he was asked why he killed the innocent children, he said, 'He made a mistake'. On being asked about his relationship with Poonam, Chandan said, 'I had no love for her'. He told the media cameras that he had no relationship with Poonam. He said that he regrets the incident. The police got the accused's X-ray done and left for Raebareli court.


Was arrested from Noida Jewar toll


Chandan Verma was arrested by the police from Jewar toll in Noida on Friday. He was trying to escape to Delhi. Chandan had killed the entire family of Dalit government teacher Sunil Kumar, who lived in a rented house near Ahorwa Bhavani intersection in Shiv Ratan Ganj police station area of ​​Amethi district. Chandan shot Sunil, Poonam and two innocent daughters dead by firing 10 rounds. The accused fled after committing the murder.


Police investigation revealed that Chandan had illicit relations with the deceased Poonam, which Poonam's husband Sunil came to know about. Under pressure from her husband, Poonam filed a police complaint against Chandan. Chandan took revenge by killing Sunil's entire family.
