Insta video creator Surendra Patil raped a 19-year-old girl by luring her with a job, FIR registered

In Thane, Maharashtra, Instagram-famous Surendra Patil has been accused of raping a 19-year-old girl on the pretext of giving her a job. The victim said that Patil threatened her with a gun, threatened to make the video viral and raped her.

Police in Thane district of Maharashtra have registered a case against Surendra Patil, a famous Instagram reel maker, and his driver for raping and molesting a 19-year-old girl. It is alleged that Patil lured the girl into his trap by promising her a job and repeatedly sexually exploited her. Surendra Patil is a resident of Thakurli near Dombivali in the district and is known for his reels or short videos on the social media platform Instagram.

The victim is a resident of Nashik. She has lodged a police complaint that between February 16 and March 29, Surendra Patil had promised her a job at Mumbai International Airport. On this pretext, he called her to his office, where he threatened

her with a gun and raped her. Apart from this, Patil also threatened to kill her parents.

Threatening to make the video viral

According to the complaint, on March 29, the accused again called the victim to his office and when she refused to go, he threatened to post their conversation and objectionable video on social media. He forcibly tried to drag her inside, molested her and attacked her when she resisted. The girl alleges that when she was leaving the office, Patil and his driver forcefully stopped her, made her remove her clothes and searched her in a humiliating manner.

Based on the complaint , police have registered a case

against Surendra Patil and his driver under sections 64 (rape), 74 (assault or criminal force to outrage the modesty of a woman), 115(2) (intentional hurt), 351(2) (criminal conspiracy) and 3(5) (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code. Apart from this, a case has also been registered under the Arms Act.

Investigation was already underway

According to police sources, Surendra Patil was already under investigation in several cases. He was in the news for misusing his licensed weapon, making a reel sitting on the chair of a senior officer in the police station and showing a large amount of cash in the video.

Statement of the accused:

In this case, Surendra Patil has called the allegations false. He says that this is a conspiracy against him and the girl has filed this false complaint to extort money from him.
