Terrorist Dar was a resident of Kulgam
According to officials, Basit was the mastermind of several murders. Basit, a resident of Kulgam, Redwani, who had gone missing from his house. After this he joined The Resistance Front (TRF), the front organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba. After joining the terrorist organization, he carried out many target killings. He was made the Kashmir Chief of the terrorist organization TRF. The security forces were looking for him for a long time. Only last year, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had announced a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh on Basit Ahmed Dar. The reward money was announced in case 32/2021/NIA/DLI registered against Basit Ahmed Dar of Redwani Pine, Kulgam, South Kashmir.
Last year, three officers were martyred in TRF attack.
Let us tell you that in the month of September last year, there was a major terrorist attack in Anantnag of Jammu and Kashmir. Army Colonel Manpreet Singh, Battalion Commanding Major Ashish Dhonak and Jammu and Kashmir Police DSP Humayun Bhat were martyred in this attack. This attack took place in Halura Gandul area of Kokernag, Anantnag. Input was received about terrorists hiding here. After this, the army and police together conducted a search operation and during this the terrorists started firing. The responsibility of this attack was taken by the terrorist organization The Resistance Front (TRF). TRF had claimed that it had avenged the death of Lashkar commander Riyaz Ahmed alias Qasim, who was killed in a mosque in Pakistan. On September 8, terrorist Qasim was murdered in the mosque of Rawalakot.
TRF, a terrorist organization formed in 2019
Let us tell you that TRF is not an old terrorist organization. This terrorist organization came into existence in 2019. The Home Ministry has also banned it. TRF is linked to Hafiz Saeed's terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. In a way, TRF is just a face and these attacks are carried out by Lashkar terrorists only. The Resistance Front is active in Jammu and Kashmir. This is in a way a branch of Lashkar-e-Taiba. TRF started as an online unit after the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.
It is believed that the purpose of creating TRF is to provide cover to terrorist organizations like Lashkar. The conspiracy to form this organization was hatched from across the border. Along with Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen, Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI also had a hand in the formation of TRF. This was made so that Pakistan's name does not directly figure in the terrorist attacks taking place in India. And he should avoid being included in the blacklist of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
This is how the name of TRF came to light
It is noteworthy that on 14 February 2019, a major terrorist attack took place in Pulwama. After this Pakistan was exposed all over the world. This attack was carried out by Jaish-e-Mohammed. When pressure increased on Pakistan from all over the world, it understood that something or the other would have to be done against terrorist organizations. After this, he conspired to form such an organization which would spread terror in India and his name would not even be mentioned. Then ISI along with Lashkar formed TRF. TRF's name came into limelight when it brutally murdered BJP workers Fida Hussain, Omar Rashid Baig and Omar Hazam in Kulgam in 2020. TRF wants to bring back the same era in Kashmir which was there in the 90s. TRF terrorists focus on target killing. They mostly target non-Kashmiris so that people from outside states avoid coming to Jammu and Kashmir.
