Delhi Blast: The investigation into the blast near the Red Fort has revealed a major revelation. Investigating agencies have found that suspected terrorist Dr. Umar Nabi was planning a major bombing in Delhi around December 6, the anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition. The network, stretching from Faridabad to Kashmir, has been linked to a Jaish-e-Mohammed module.

As the investigation into the car bomb blast near the Red Fort in the national capital, Delhi, progresses, new revelations are emerging. The latest revelation is that the suspected terrorist, Dr. Umar Nabi, was planning a major attack on December 6th, the anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition. His goal was to send a strong message by shaking Delhi.
According to sources, this was revealed during the interrogation of eight suspects arrested in Faridabad. These individuals were part of a white-collar terrorist module with links to Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. It is said to be linked to the Pakistani terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. The conspiracy was revealed after questioning the arrested suspects.
Dr. Umar Nabi, a 28-year-old resident of Pulwama district in Kashmir, was driving an i20 car packed with explosives near the Red Fort on November 10th. He was also killed in the blast, which has so far claimed the lives of 12 people. Investigations have revealed that Umar Nabi was a key member of the module that plotted the terrorist attack.
Omar Nabi's plot was exposed with the arrest of Dr. Muzammil Ahmed Ganai, alias Musaib, a teacher at Al-Falah University in Faridabad. 360 kilograms of ammonium nitrate was recovered from Dr. Ganai's room. As soon as Omar received information about this seizure in Faridabad, he panicked. The explosion occurred prematurely.

The investigation revealed that Umar Nabi had a very good academic record, but he completely changed after a period of isolation and a religious pilgrimage. In 2021, he traveled to Turkey with Dr. Ganai. During this trip, they met some members of Jaish-e-Mohammed. After returning, his inclination towards radicalism increased.
He chose the path of terrorism. Together, the two doctors began collecting explosives such as ammonium nitrate, potassium nitrate, and sulfur. They stored these explosives in and around the Al Falah University campus. They intended to use them to create a VBIED (Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device).
Preparations for the December attack were already underway. Umar had confided in some of his close associates about the plot in the first week of December. On November 10, he placed explosives in his i-20 and began assembling the circuit. He used tutorials from the internet to build the VBIED.
Meanwhile, Faridabad police announced the recovery of 2,900 kilograms of explosives and the busting of a terrorist module. This completely terrified Umar Nabi. He hid in a mosque in the city for a few hours. After staying there for about three hours, he left in his car. Then, reaching near the Red Fort, he detonated the bomb.

The investigation also revealed that the VBIED was not fully assembled. The shrapnel had not been assembled, otherwise the blast could have caused significant damage. Seven of those arrested so far in this case are residents of Kashmir. These include Arif Nisar Dar alias Sahil, Yasir-ul-Ashraf, and Maqsood Ahmed Dar alias Shahid, all from Srinagar.
Also arrested are Maulvi Irfan Ahmed of Shopian, Srinagar; Zameer Ahmed Ahangar alias Mutlasha from the Wakura area of Ganderbal; Dr. Muzammil Ahmed Ganai alias Musaib from the Koil area of Pulwama; and Dr. Adeel from the Wanpora area of Kulgam. Dr. Shaheen Saeed of Lucknow has also been arrested.
It is reported that Umar Nabi went to Kashmir on October 26th. While meeting with friends and relatives there, he stated that he would not be available for the next three months. Police said that several of his friends and relatives have echoed this statement in their statements. This indicates that he had already prepared to go underground after the blast.
