Buses will once again be stopped in Punjab as Punjab Roadways, PUNBUS and PRTC contract worker unions are preparing to launch protests against the government once again.

Buses are going to get brakes again in Punjab, due to which the common people may have to face a lot of trouble. Let us tell you that the raw employees of Punjab Roadways, PUNBUS and PRTC will go on strike. The buses will remain closed after 12 noon on October 31. The employees allege that the government has not given them any invitation for talks.
Union president Jodh Singh has written a letter to the Transport Department, Managing Director of PUNBUS and Managing Director of PRTC, stating that if the department re-issues tenders to include buses under the kilometer scheme on October 31, the buses will be stopped.
The contract employees also say that the necessary documents for permanent employment have already been submitted to the government, but there is widespread resentment among the employees due to the negligence of the transport department officials. By tendering for buses under the kilometer scheme, the government aims to benefit private companies.
It is worth noting that the union officials have been opposing the kilometre scheme for the past several months, which has resulted in the tenders being cancelled twice in a row. However, issuing tenders repeatedly is incomprehensible.
