The flames started from the third floor and spread till the sixth floor and in no time the whole building started burning in flames. It was told that first there was a short circuit on the third floor in the building and this caused the AC blast. After this the fire kept increasing.


The fire is so fierce that it could not be controlled even after 8-9 hours. Fire brigade personnel and fire fighters gathered to extinguish the fire, but to control the raging fire, first the army had to be called and then late in the evening, at the behest of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh asked the Air Force to help in this matter. instructions have been given.


There was no loss of life in this fire that broke out in Satpura Bhavan, but from the government point of view, there has been a huge loss due to the fire. There are offices of many government departments of Madhya Pradesh in this building itself. The opposition is constantly attacking this matter and is accusing the government of conspiracy. In one of its tweets, the Congress has talked about 'burning corruption files'.


Congress called the fire a conspiracy

On the other hand, former Congress state president and MP Arun Subhash Yadav has termed the incident of fire in Satpura building as a conspiracy.

MI 15 helicopter and AN 32 aircraft will douse the fire


Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, after discussing with Home Minister Amit Shah on the phone, informed about the incident of fire at Satpura Bhavan and sought necessary help. Along with this, the Chief Minister has also spoken to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. After which the Defense Minister has directed the Air Force for assistance. On his instructions, AN 32 aircraft and MI 15 helicopter will reach Bhopal tonight and will try to extinguish the fire by pouring water from the top of the building with buckets.


Bhopal airport will remain open overnight


Chief Minister Chouhan also discussed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the phone and informed about the unfortunate incident of arson in Satpura. He also informed about the efforts of the State Government and the help received from various departments of the Central Government (Army, Air Force, BHEL, CIASF, Airport and others). PM Modi has assured the Chief Minister of all possible help from the Centre. The Police Commissioner and DM of Bhopal are themselves present on the spot.


Renovation took place a year back, documents in three important departments burnt


Tribal Welfare Department, Transport Department and Health Department. There are offices of many departments in Satpura Bhavan, it is estimated that the documents kept in them were burnt to ashes. Office furniture and important files have been gutted due to the fire. This office was renovated just a year ago.


CM has formed a committee to find out the reason


Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Chouhan has announced a committee to find out the preliminary reasons for the fire in the government building Satpura Bhawan. ACS Home Rajesh Rajoura, PS Urban Neeraj Mandloi, PS PWD Sukhbir Singh and ADG Fire will be in this committee. The members of the committee will hand over the report to the Chief Minister after finding out the preliminary reasons for the investigation.


second floor not affected by fire


Establishment Branch, Nursing Branch, Complaint Branch, Accounts Branch, Commission Branch and Assembly Questions etc. have been damaged due to the spread of the fire. The hospital administration wing, which is located on the second floor of the Satpura building, remained unaffected by the fire. It is not affected by the fire as the files related to the purchase of medicines, equipment for the hospital, furniture are on the second floor. It will be possible to assess the actual damage caused by the fire after the fire is extinguished.
