Will RCB be banned?... No relief from High Court in Chinnaswamy stampede case, 11 people died in the accident

Chinnaswamy Stampede: 11 people died in a stampede outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB's marketing and revenue head has been arrested in this case.


Chinnaswamy Stampede Latest Update: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has not got relief from the Karnataka High Court in the Bangalore stampede case. The High Court has refused to grant bail to the RCB manager arrested in this case. The High Court has currently reserved its decision till tomorrow i.e. Wednesday, June 11. The next hearing of the case will now be on June 12.


The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday refused to grant interim relief to RCB's marketing and revenue head Nikhil Sosle. The court has asked to reserve the order till June 11. Let us tell you that Sosle was arrested by the police on June 6.


RCB's marketing and revenue head Nikhil Sosle had challenged his arrest in the High Court, but the court has not given him relief. Now the next hearing in this matter will be on Thursday, June 12. Sosle had termed his arrest as illegal in the petition and said that the police action was influenced by political directives. For now, the High Court has refused to grant bail to Sosle.


Let us tell you that on June 4, the day after RCB won the IPL 2025 title, a large number of people had gathered near Chinnaswamy Stadium to celebrate and watch the team and the trophy and 11 people died due to the stampede. To fix the accountability for this stampede, the state government had also suspended several top police officers.


The Karnataka government had announced to give Rs 10 lakh to the families of those who died in the stampede. However, now the compensation amount has been increased. Now the state government will give Rs 25 lakh as compensation to the deceased. Along with this, the franchise RCB has also announced to give Rs 10 lakh to the deceased.
