Jia's mother had filed a case against Suraj Pancholi making serious allegations against him. The police was probing the matter for a long time.

Justice AS Sayed of the Special CBI Court in Mumbai said Suraj is acquitted on the basis of lack of evidence. Suraj Pancholi reached the court today at 10.30 am with his mother Zarina Wahab. Zarina always stood in support of her son. After declaring Suraj innocent in this case, his mother is very happy.
Actually Jiah Khan's mother Rabia Khan had made many serious allegations against actor Sooraj Pancholi. Rabia Khan had said, it was because of Sooraj Pancholi that my daughter had committed suicide as there was no other way out. The mother of the actress said that my daughter was murdered, not suicide. In view of the serious allegations of Rabia Khan, the case was handed over to the CBI.
