Mumbai Airport Plane Accident: A private chartered plane slipped off the runway during landing amid heavy rain at Mumbai Airport on Thursday (September 14). There were a total of eight people on board this plane, including six passengers and two crew members. BMC said that eight people injured in the accident have been admitted to the hospital.


A heart-wrenching video of this accident has also surfaced. DGCA said that VSR Ventures' Learjet 45 aircraft VT-DBL was coming to Mumbai from Visakhapatnam. While landing on Runway-27 of Mumbai Airport, it slipped on the runway.

Captain Sunil, Captain Neel, Dhruv Kotak, Lars Sorensen (Denmark), KK Krishna Das, Akarsh Shethi, Arul Sali and Kamakshi (female) were on board this plane. DGCA said that at the time of the incident, visibility at the airport was 700 meters due to heavy rain. The plane broke into two pieces after slipping from the runway and caught fire. Which was immediately brought under control.

This privately chartered aircraft is a nine-seat super-light business jet manufactured by a division of Canada-based Bombardier Aviation. On behalf of the spokesperson of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, it was said that this accident happened at 5:02 in the evening. At present all activities are normal at the airport and on the runway where the accident took place.
