Pakistan General Asim Munir: Pakistan's newly appointed Army Chief (COAS) General Asim Munir has spewed venom against India. Giving a provocative statement on Saturday (December 3), General Asim Munir said that India will never succeed in its nefarious designs and any misadventure will be given a befitting reply. According to the media wing of the Pakistan Army, the army chief visited border areas in the Rakhchikri sector of the Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday and made the remarks during an interaction with soldiers.

General Asim Munir was briefed about the latest situation on the LoC. Interacting with the officers and soldiers, the Army Chief appreciated their high morale, professional competence and combat readiness while performing their duties under challenging conditions.

What did the new army chief of Pakistan say?

General Aseem said that he has taken note of the highly irresponsible statements of the Indian leadership on Gilgit, Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir recently. The COAS said that let me make it clear that the armed forces of Pakistan are ready not only to defend every inch of our motherland but also to fight any battle with the enemy.

Replaced Qamar Javed Bajwa

He said that India will never be able to fulfill its nefarious designs. The world must ensure justice and fulfill the promise made to the Kashmiri people as per the UN resolutions. Earlier, the Army Chief was received on arrival by Lt Gen Shahid Imtiaz, Corps Commander Rawalpindi. Former ISI chief General Asim Munir has replaced General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
